The Fan Staircase

A home renovation in Santiago el Mayor to improve the interior and the layout. We barely touched the internal walls. What made it special was somewhere else: the staircase.

Space was very tight and the existing staircase couldn't do any more. The client came to us with the idea of a staircase with an angled axis, narrower at the bottom and widening as it rises, to free up space at the entrance. No manufacturer made one like it, so we designed it from scratch, working from the staircase that was already there.

Once installed, the house gained enormously. A tiny space, used to the full.
